Motorrad magazine has K1000RS on the cover

Postby SHIVA on Wed Jun 27, 2007 5:14 pm

Motorrad Magazine of Germany, issue 6/22/07, has a sketch of the K1000RS on its cover, plus a two plage write up. I am planning to scan these pages and post them here. Can someone do a quick recap of the article in English? Thanks, :) S

As soon as I get it, and provided it's before Wednesday, I'll do it. On Wednesday I'm off to the Dolomites and Switzerland to return on the 9th.

No need to scan the cover - here is the pic from Motorrad's web site - http://www.motorradonline.de.

Still need the full translation of the article, but here is the Google translation of the minimal amount of text on the web site:

I'm guessing 190kg/190hp?

New supersportsmen by BMW, Buell and ApriliaProjekt 190/190 Thus internal-unofficially the coming supersportsman is called by BMW. The numbers stand for the achievement and the weight. With the premiere of the Endurance Boxers in Le Mans max of Neukirchner received a first offer from BMW. It was offered to it to drive the machine with the 24-Stunden-Rennen into Oschersleben. But in truth it probably concerned somewhat completely different one: around an employment in the Superbike WM, on a 1000er-BMW. Already in October this yearly should be ready it for a test. Aprilia is itself with the 1000er-V4 just as ambitious goals as BMW, and also with Buell a breath-robbing progress is forthcoming

Kinda find the comparative test between the Megamoto, Hypermotard and Superduke interesting to read when I get it. It'll probably be on Monday or Tuesday. Stuff to read in the train....

For now, you are correct. Soon the Google's computers will become self aware and rule us all (and eventually get a translation right)!!!
